1st Delvin is not Grade A, but good enough to have had me concerned. I have always felt that Cotto could make a good account of himself vs Canelo. here are my reasons:

Cotto did much better offensively & defensively vs Mayweather than Canelo.

Canelo's workrate and pressure are at very comfortable levels for Cotto.

Canelo likes to work from the outside, Cotto has the better jab and footspeed.

Canelo is a midget just like Cotto at 5'7" give or take an inch.

Canelo and Cotto tend to gas but Canelo gasses earlier.

the negative is I don't think Cotto absorbs punishment as well as Alvarez,
and Alvarez will assimilate Cottos blows better than Cotto will assimilate his. Cotto is at the end, he should fight Canelo and if he wins, challenge Sergio. A fight he will surely lose, but he can then retire. He should go straight to Sergio only if the money is significantly greater than vs Canelo which I doubt.

Hadn't seen Cotto destroy a guy like that since he was at 140 and never saw Delvin obliterated in that fashion.

Most impressed by Cotto right the overhand at the end of round 2 and the misdirection right to the body left hook head for the tko
