I actually hold the ibf, wbo, and wbc belts thank you very much. Wait, nevermind that was in my dream last night.
In all honesty (like I have said before) I have NEVER called ANY boxer "trash" or "garbage". They are all amazing athletes and deserve their respect and dues. I have, however, called some guys "overhyped" or "overrated" if I feel it necessary. But lets face it; sometimes it needs to be said and it is the truth. Plus this is the real world, people are going to say stuff like that. Regarding your post and the message you have in there; no I feel they are different topics. Teenage girls are oblivious to the world around them and they were probably just looking for something to do. MOST (key word *most*) people on this site are adults and may have trained/boxed before so their comments are relevant. Isn't this more of a thread for the lounge?

 

I didn't realize one had to be a former title holder to be a boxing fan and have some opinions. I guess all of us here will just have to stop watching boxing. Thanks for setting us straight.

 

Belts won:
WBA (and admittedly the lesser IBO and WBU belts atsch)

Money made in a year: Give or take, it was about $8 million last year, before taxes. Plust I got a lot in money market accounts so I live off of the interest.

I've said: "I want to thank the man upstairs for giving me the skills to win the IBO and the WBU titles. And thanks for the fans and everybody at home."

Part of being a sports fan is looking at athletes far superior to ourselves and discrediting them. I pay part of their salary. I guess you could call it a "performance review."

 

I believe people chooses ESB to chat about their favorites boxers or who is going to win the next fight and how, we are just boxing fans.

But if people say:

"Hatton sucks, how arrogant PBF is, how Calzaghe is an overrated Euro trash fighter, ODH is a cold blooded wife beater/cheatin phony",

what there it is to do, don't tell me you can't sleep at night because of that or because someone hurt your feelings by insulting your favorite boxer and calling him overrated, crap or arrogant ouchh!
