yeah a rematch with diaz won't earn anywhere near the type of money that fighting the winner of hatton/pac would generate...and if he loses to diaz in a rematch, kiss all the talk of a mega fight goodbye
I don't think that's what the man meant. A lot of guys get cuts and they all react differently. Marciano's a good example of a guy who was not negatively effected by cuts. Unfortunatly for Diaz, psychologically, he's not handling it, kind of strange to me considering he's been a champ, been boxing a long time, cuts are not uncommon in the game, and the savage nature of the sport in general.
Posters, besides the cut, Marquez was breaking him down via body shots. We don't know what would have happened towards the near end even without a cut. I meant to say when the fight took place is that when Diaz hurt Marquez in the second round, Marquez stopped the onslaught with a right to the body. I noticed Diaz stopped the aggressiveness he is known for. Those body shots were getting to him. Don't get me wrong, Diaz is one hell of a fighter and he was in it. Rematch? Marquez wants to go out big and with good paydays which he deserves.
It's not gonna happen. JMM knocked him out in very convincing fashion and is now looking towards another division with bigger fish to fry. Juanito can ask for a rematch all he wants, but Marquez isn't giving him one. There's no need for it, he proved he was the better man that night.
The baby bull would have to make alot of adjustments ... his characteristics held him back in that fight. He stopped moving his head ... he stopped throwing his jab ...
