He did a full sparing session and the 'usual' stuff. He landed some nice body shots repeatedly during the sparring session and I didn't notice any ill effects in the left hand. Things got a little heated with the second sparring partner. Overheard some of the 'staff' saying how they had no doubts about how they though a Pavlik/Williams clash would turn out. Strangely it echoed my views pretty well. I declined to be interviewed by the local sleaze station. I wouldn't talk to them without a lawyer present and 100% editorial rights. I'm sure NBA would offer his services.
They had folks doing interviews in the ring, but I couldn't hear what was being said and didn't want to elbow my way into earshot so I just left.
Nice diversion anyhow. He was training in Vegas but came back a little early to finish up hear. I guess the distraction of training for a fight that was going to be local was a bit much last time. I was so close during the jump rope session I had to lean back. :yep
That's not unlikely! Top Rank picked Espino for two reasons: 1) it's a Latin fury card and he's latino. 2) They felt Pav could beat him with one good hand.
