Everybody is talking about how Calzaghes resume has taken a blow after Kessler lost but I think that it is Pavlik's resume that has taken some real blow lately. First Miranda's status has gone down to almost a journeyman and then 2 wins over the man who beat Hopkins became 2 wins over the man who got KTFO twice in his last 2 bouts. Add loss to Hopkins to this. Kelly needs to revive his career with a win over some highly ranked boxer.

Kelly has effectively ended several careers. Some know it, some fight on....

That's not fair to Jermain to say that about him. He has one of the best resumes and has fought nothing but big punchers for some time now. He was clearly beating Froch going into the 11th. He wasn't gassing out against Abraham. He just got drilled with a massive punch. He didn't go down earlier in the fight when he got hit with a bomb.

Calling Miranda a "journeyman" is a bit of a stretch. He lost fights to:

Ward: current WBA titlist at 168 who upset the favorite.

Pavlik: the man who dethroned the man who dethroned ATG Hopkins

Abraham: In my view Edison is 1-1 with AA. Anywhere in the world other than Germany that first fight would have been Miranda TKO4 Abraham.

Miranda is fighting Stieglitz for the WBO title on January 9th. I don't know that he can beat Stieglitz, but his chance are very good.

You watch fmj news? I declined to be interviewed by them. I think they can be a little sleazy sometimes. Plus when they pick people to get opinions they seem to be able to find the least qualified. I guess they had me pegged? :think In the end they got me though. They said Pavlik fans, young and old... guess who they showed as 'old'? You get one guess on this one. Yeah, that bag o'fuzz was me.... :verysad
