well, from what i've been told and what i have read (again, i think its in one of the articles on here), they were really nervous about this fight b/c of the hand (espino fight) and they didnt want to fight on the 19th. but kelly said he is very surprised at how it has responded. it had been sore and tender up till yesterday when he sparred 8 rounds and said it didnt really hurt after even though they still had to go through icing it and the therapy. in the article, jack said he was real nervous about the hand being ready for espino at first but is now pretty confident everything will be fine.

so to answer your question ,

at the time i don't blame them for fighting espino considering its a guy he could presumably beat w/ one hand and still keep the belts. hindsight, being 20 x 20, I WOULD AGREE that at this point he's ready for more than espino is going to be.

 

Pavlik did not pick Espino. The orgs told Kelly fight or we'll strip ya. Arum made space for Pav on a Latin Fury card against, now try to keep up here Ray, a Latino in the WBC top 10.

You needn't worry about Pavlik/Williams. If PW wants some, he can get some. After watching Williams/Martinez Team Pavlik is desperate to get Willy in the ring. The entire crew thinks Williams lost, and is looking forward to lighting his skinny ass up!

kenny sigaranni was one of his sparring partners. He is a good well balanced local boxer who has fought in the local golden glove tournaments. A good sparring partner.

Cool if team Pavlik feels Williams lost to Martinez then why not Pavlik vs Martinez next Since Williams is going to have months off to heal his eyes? I'll love to see that fight and after Martinez easily embarrass Pavlik, will you, hermit, pavlik fan still talking **** about Williams?

 

Pavlik would never fight Martinez cause Martinez is too slick a boxer and may KO Pavlik! Kelly likes to fight guys who stay infront of him and trade cause he's straight foward fighter! If this guy Espino has any lateral movement its good night for Kelly and the MW belts will be in the hands of the 50th place MW!! Thanks team Pavlik!
