Back From The Garden: Impressions About Cotto/Clottey

Not tryin to steal your thunder Walk but I was there too and would like to post a few things here instead of starting a new thread. Btw, Philla was in attendance as well.

- As soon as I got to my seat, guess who comes strolling by and stands there for a good minute taking pics and signing some autographs? Joe Calzaghe! He was 5 feet away from me and my date and I was shouting out loud cursin my G1's digicam for taking too long to snap a shot. I took 6 pics and not one of them came out any good. Btw, the boricuas loved him, he was getting a good amount of attention.

- I was good amount of rows behind Pac but I was able to see him the entire time and if I had a normal cam on me I would have had decent pics of his face. I went with Julie and she convinced me to try to sneak down there and get up and close to him. I figured if I got his attention I'd bust out some Tagalog and that would be it, he'd be cool as hell...so why not? Only 1 guard actually checked our tickets then turned us away. As he got distracted by other patrons, Julie opens another door right behind him and we sneak through. HA, I felt like a kid sneaking into another showing at the movies all over again. Good stuff. Btw, from what I was able to see, Pacquiao was video taping a good portion of the fight.

- The pockets of Clottey fans marching around waving their flags was great to see. They did hold down a good sized section of the nose bleeds above me. A fight or two broke out in that area as well.

- Cotto fans were cool as hell just having a good time. Even the rabid die hards we just chillin.

- I decided to wear my Pac shirt and expected to get into an argument or two at the very least. To my surprise, not even one single negative remark whatsoever. If anything a few called out his name in a way of respect. See? What a difference compared to this place

I had such a good time that I'm damn hooked and will try to go to as many live fights as possible from here on.

Very accurate. I was there also. Did you see the fight that broke out in the Ghana section? Security rushed that **** with the quickness. ****in' awesome atmosphere, man. I don't like crying to the ref trying to get a point deducted. That's that Cintron bull****. That back of the head **** was ****in' pathetic. Me and my boys were lit. ****in' vendor didn't come around often enough with the beer, though. I just missed getting a picture of calzaghe by thismuch as he was makin' his way through the arena.
