Been out for 2 weeks and didnt do that much training and now i think its gonna catch up with me so should i do what i always do going flat out at everything and tire myself out or take it a little easy tonight?
I suggest taking it easy, switch southpaw, land a few hooks and some cheeky uppercuts and you'll be fine.
And do a Suger Ray Leonard and poke your chin out...damn i love that **** man:rasta You will do what you will do. If you pace yourself that is ok.If you go hard that is ok.If you stop half way through that is NOT ok. nono:nono Oh and by the way..... do yourself a favor and wear a cup at all times.....never know when you going to do pad work with that crazy bugger again eh :rofl Have fun young fella.
Since when have i made myself out to be sugar ray leonard? For ****s sake alls I did was ask if i should pace myself or go flat out after being layed off for 2 weeks. Im getting sick and tired of these bull**** answers, either give me a genuine answer to my question or **** off as for the mclellan post i can even remember it to be honest.
I think you should go all out, you need to get back where you were before you stopped going to the gym. YOu'll have to put your body through some serious pain if you don't always want to be playing catch up. Especially as everyone else has had that extra two weeks, they'll be that bit fitter and it will show in sparring. I havn't boxed for a bit, but I do BJJ and when I see someone coming in from a few weeks lay off I know they havn't been through what ive been through so I give them hell, they usually can't cut it even after only a short period.
Ok cheers man, i went to the gym last night and decided to pace myself a little like taking a shortcut on my run haha i got told off for that and doing less skipping and took the last two rounds off and i was feeling shattered still. So im going to the gym wednesday again but the gyms only open wednesdays and mondays so i dont get much training done and its £2 a pop so even if it was open everyday i couldnt afford it. So i was thinking of starting doing a mile run and a few pressups, sit ups etc. in the evenings when i aint in the gym to see if it makes the difference. what do you think?
It will make some difference if you're not doing anything at those days currently, but one single mile isn't very much.
