i cant believe duhapaus is getting in the ring so quickly after that nasty ko to fite c takam later this month ......the dude has ballzz / but not a wise choice after such a viscious ko to go straight up aginst a top 10 fighter .....poor managment but i guess they want to cash out / personally i would have duhapaus fight 2 stiffs to get confidence after such a nasty ko / masquev had bad managment after getting blitzed by k johnson they shoved him in with a top 10 fighter and lost again / bad managment ......................anyway im rooting for duhapaus against takam ...
Well, it's not like he has to go through two training camps. But yes, I am surprised. Also. Someone take the period key away from this man!
I'm picking Takam mainly because of what I thought was a good effort against Parker. Duhaupa put up a tough fight with Wilder. Duhaupa obviously better prepared and focused for this fight compared to his last minute call up for Povetkin. Definitely watching this one and I'm guessing I'll see a similar fight to Povetkin/Duhaupa, not saying it'll end that way but in terms of the styles clash.
Although it was hard to read the opening post in this thread, certainly in the morning, I think Duhaupas is brave but probably destroying his career here fighting Takam after such a crushing KO defeat against a probably '90's style juiced up monster, in a "who's the country's best" matchup. Of course this is a risk for Takam as well, but most I believe would rate him above Duhaupas and expect him to outbox Johann over 12. Good fight and all, but career suicide for DH I believe.
I was picking Takam before the Povetkin fiasco and I'm certainly picking him now. Honestly, I thought this fight was off, and I'm very surprised Duhaupas is still going through with it. Not sure it's the right decision but I can't fault anyone for wanting to get in the ring and challenge themselves. Duhaupas is that type of throwback fighter that'll take on anyone anytime and doesn't make a big deal out of it. Swiftly becoming a real favourite of mine, even if his skills leave a little to be desired.
That's insane! Say what you want about JD's skills, but he's got testicular fortitude to spare. I can't believe they're letting him fight Takam so soon after that beating. I thought it was a winnable fight before, but now I'm just hoping the dude doesn't get seriously hurt.
Holy crap. Hope this doesn't end in tears! He should do a lot better against someone who isn't juiced to the eyeballs, though - at least.
