He'd beat Hammer, but Pianeta is akin to a young fresh Tony Thompson and that L hand would be finding it's home all night.

Yeah, like you said, lot's of options. Potvtkin was on fire for this fight.....even finally looked the part at the weigh in.

How Charr didnt get up for this one is beyond me. Seems this was THE fight for him to get up for.....and he comes in out of shape. Slow, sluggish, but looking to trade?:huh

I like his enthusiasm though.....many a top contender woulda balked at the idea of risking a title fight to face Sasha....Manny took the fight without thinking.....

    Like we mostly agree....

Onto Pala, Gerber, then look for a fight with one of the top Brits....in shape, he could give Haye a tough scrap.:think

If Airich thinks he's got a shot at KOing him......:think:think:think

Potvetkin landed about 100 hard shots before he finally doubled up that L hook and got those hands to drop.:yep

It really was quite astounding how many people thought he was a contender. A few like me and yourself seemed to be in the minority in regards to Charr.

Charr has so many flaws as a fighter it's hard to see what people saw in him. His footwork alone is horrendous. His feet are so close together and centre of gravity so high it's amazing he doesn't fall over every 30 seconds.

One of the good things about all these heavyweights finally facing off against each other is that fighters like Arreola, Johnson and Charr are finally exposed as the gate keeper level fighters they really are, instead of hiding behind a string of easy opponents. Let's hope this trend continues so we get a better picture of who truly are the genuine contenders and who are just hype.

I wasn't familiar with Charr but wasn't impressed. Maybe I caught him on a bad night.
