Seriously...alot of you guys need to back up off of mayweather.
so he fought a naturally smaller guy, didnt he fight a naturally bigger guy in DLH? or that doesnt matter because DLH was a shot fighter by then.
But back to the point i was trying to make.
just because JMM moved up in wieght has nothing to do with mayweathers skill. JMM may have gotten slower because of the weight, but had more than enough time to adjust to the extra pounds and he was drinking ****. it was the same excuse for hatton until pac whipped him at his own weight.
I see that mayweather will never be a great fighter in some peoples eyes.

There's only so much weight you can adapt to having, no matter how much time you have to do so. Come on man.....

  3. Hatton and Mayweather are the same size. People need to look at Hatton's lower body. Anyway, Mayweather proved that P4P, he is on another class, when compared to Marquez. You think Mayweather dominated Marquez, well 130-140 Mayweather would have killed him.

Nah I think people are just sore because nobody was asking for him to fight Juan. Except maybe Juan. But other than that every sane fan has wanted him to fight Cotto, Mosley, or Pac. Marquez was still a great win for Floyd though.

Are you ****ing kidding? You can't tell size by looking at pictures. You can put on muscle specifically to get bigger and heavier, doesn't make one a natural at the heavier weight, does it?

  7. Mayweather did feel he was rusty. Marquez was Mayweather's ring rust remover. I still call it a good win considering the 2 year layoff. Mayweather still proved that regardless of what weight the fight may have taken place, he was in a different class.

No, he proved that at welterweight, he could destroy Marquez. Anything else is pure conjecture, and conjecture counts for NOTHING.

Sorry, but when you're being countered and picked apart, missing 80% of your punches while your opponent lands 60% of his - that's not size difference.

Size difference is when you get knocked out because you just can't compete with the power. This was pure boxing, Floyd landing so much, so often? Forget about it, Marquez was no less a fighter at 142 than he was at 130 - the power may not have been the same but the style and skill definitely was.

Being that Marquez was picking Pac apart, we've just seen the reason why Pac won't want anything of Mayweather.

i agree with everything said except this bullsh*t.

you know as well as everyone else that team pac wanted a fight with floyd and it was floyd who chose marquez over manny. and if pac gets past cotto, mayweather-pacquiao is inevitable.

Size difference affects a lot, including Marquez's ability to get inside, and his ability to take a punch (including glancing/blocked shots) easily enough for him to try harder to get inside. And unless there were no clinches whatsoever, it makes a hell of a difference there too.

    Try again.

Size may affect alot but it was clear that 2lbs wouldn't have made much of a difference....ne body can see that!:deal
