Back when Hatton fought Mayweather, how many of you actually expected Hatton to win?

yea i did as well , but i did not know a whole lot about boxing outside of the UK back then and didnt really know how good mayweather was , i lost a fair bit of money so i promised myself i wont be making that mistake again and now i always clue myself up when betting on anyone now that im unsure about .

 

Don't expect many to be honest. I picked Mayweather but did pick Hatton to beat Pacquiao. :yep

 

i never thought he had a chance against Floyd. I was actually surprised Floyd could not take him out sooner. In many ways he was the ideal Floyd opponent: come forward, limited, small, white, comes with his own fan base so a big payday. In other words, another Gatti.

the moment i heard bunce on the radio saying floyd was made for hatton, i knew he had no chance!

 

Can't lie didn't realise how good a inside fighter floyd was so picked Hatton to **** him up on the inside

 

I did not. Hatton looked awful and so vulnerable against bigger fighters like Collazo. Collazo deserved the nod btw. I was honestly surprised Hatton lasted as long as he did, he did better than I expected.

People thought Hatton was going to beat Pac as well, I thought they were nuts.

 

Picked Hatton to beat Floyd. You can't beat two guys in the ring.

 

I honestly thought Floyd would beat Hatton in 7-8 rounds and Pac would beat him in 4-5 rounds. Hatton was not anywhere near their level, I was in disbelief when I finally got around to joining forums and found out people so many people gave him a chance against these guys.

 

ya i remember people liked hatton alot goin into the pac fight.....and ya i was at the collazo fight...thought hatton lost....then i went to pac/hatton also.....i think alot of people looked at how good ricky looked with sr. against paulie....paulie is a good figher and a tough kid...i know paulie was ****ed buddy threw in the towel....

 

I had Floyd all the way, although the K.O did surprise me.
