Back when Hatton fought Mayweather, how many of you actually expected Hatton to win?

If he didn't fight Hatton, Hatton would have been added to the dreaded list of: "Floyd ducked a prime undefeated Hatton" BS. Fact is: I remember people calling for the fight. I remember "some people" even saying Floyd would "duck" Hatton.

Hatton is just another example of the hate this man gets: Before the fight, Hatton was a good fight and Floyd might duck him. After the fight, <insert excuse>

Quite a few did. They keep saying the same **** they're saying now. Finally PBF is fighting a live threat and Hatton will be too much for PBF he will be on him for every second of every round. Blah Blah Blah. More wishful thinking as usual.

I thought Hatton would win and my reasoning is thus.

Hatton was an unrelenting pressure fighter. He seemed durable and I couldn't see how Floyd would keep Hatton away. I remember right before the fight someone on these forums said people were assuming Hatton would be stronger but were wrong to think so. Well whoever said that was dead right. Floyd handled Hatton easily on the inside.

Yet he performed a lot better than people gave him credit for. Are you seriously trying to convince normal human beings that you knew it all back then?.

I knew he had no shot prior because of his style but if you can pull up some old posts you will see what I picked now I will admit I gave him a better shot against Pacquio ..Boy was I wrong on that one !

A lot of people did. I was here back then. There were tons of debates people said PBF was ducking Hatton and would never fight him and that Hatton's style would overwhelm and wear PBF down, some of the same **** you hear before most of PBF's fights. The forum was around 60/40 PBF for that fight.

I thought Pac was going to destroy Hatton. Just IMO. I didn't think he'd knock him into a coma though with a single punch. I figured he'd beat him down with a combination after wearing him down over the course of some rounds.

I didn't like what I saw from Hatton after the Mayweather fight in the Lazcano fight.

Personally that whole nonsense that he was ducking a guy who made his living at 140 was re****ed ..

I may be critical of Floyd but when it comes to boxing I can be neutral ..And Hatton's style was tailor made for Floyd

Hatton was a british hype product. Cotto was way more believable as an opponent. One that made to think he had a chance.
