Yeah he took the first fight because he didn't know exactly what he would be facing in terms of destructive power. For me fury’s issues along with his style being fairly reliant on having a degree of speed. He knows he will slow down quicker than the likes of AJ and Wilder and he’s seen his opportunity to cash out. Rather than take a loss in the fight and struggle to rebuild he will take 3 or 4 winnable fights for good money then cash out and take the loss down the line. Not saying he isn’t ultra talented just feel he knows he doesn’t have much left.

What Fury has done by not honoring his word to fight Wilder again, is not only blacken his own name but sadly has also disgraced Boxing's reputation and simultaneously given the sport a black eye, a bloody nose, busted and bruised lips.

I also find it amazing how much praise he's received for pulling out of the rematch. There are people celebrating Fury's cowardice. Celebrating and bragging about it as if there is was some moral victory achieved.. The boxing fans who have their agenda's, along with the EDL and BNP lovers out there, will never admit that their hero is disgrace. Bias, agenda and their blind love and devotion obstructs all attempts at objectivity. These are the kind of fanatics (or protectors as I like to call them) that if it were permissible, would jump in the ring, right in front of their hero and willingly ship punches for them in order to shield them from harm.

So I can partially understand their cognitive dissonance and the difficulty in coming to terms with the fact that Fury has now cemented himself as a complete bum hunting con artist who's revealed his real intentions which is going for the easy money fights against bums. This after affirming and lying through his bare teeth on multiple interviews, that he's not interested in money and is training for a rematch with the most feared HW. What I can't understand is the blatant double standards, dishonesty and hypocrisy

Can you imagine if Joshua or Wilder pulled such a stunt? Boy oh boy... there would be thread after thread, hour after hour, day after day of relentless ridicule, hate and mockery directed towards them for publicly refusing to fight their closest rival. You would never hear the end of it!

Personally It does not come to me as surprise to find that Fury lost his bottle, since this is something which I had predicted many months ago. Even in spite of so much vitriol and criticism directed my way, I was confident in my prediction where I revealed that Fury was terrified and would do his utmost to seek a way out of the rematch, similar to how he opted out of the rematch with Wlad. I had reasoned with many that he would instead, without hesitation and undivided attention duly listen and take heed to his wife and trainer's counsel. Both Paris Fury and Ben Davison played a key role in helping to convince and reafirm Fury's own deep held fears and belief that he had no business fighting the rematch after they both begged and pleaded with him never to go anywhere near Wilder ever again for the dangers he poses..

Fury understood that there was a very real danger he might not walk away in the rematch. Remember he has never been shy to reveal that he felt the fearsome deadly power of Wilde in the aftermath. In multiple interviews he has pointed to the fact that he was left with the harrowing fear that he may well have suffered brain damage from Wilder's punches.

His wife immediately thought he was dead on the canvas as she sat seated next to his brother at ringside, screaming ''he's not getting up back up;'' ''someone help him''. Days after the fight, Paris already revealed to the press that she had ordered Fury not fight Wilder as she never wished to be put her through that harrowing experience ever again

I’ve said no, I really do mean it,” she added. “I don’t think I could see it. I’ve told him no more fighting

Meanwhile we've witnessed new found footage of his trainer Ben Davison at ringside, panic stricken with clasped hands eyes closed, sweating and praying with his heart and soul that Fury would survive and get through that final round.

Looking at it from their perspective, you could reasonably argue and say that there is justifiable merit for avoiding Wilder since there may well have been a real possibility that he could have been Blackwelled. In affect the decision they now have undertaken may well have meant ducking death itself.

Had Fury openly admitted that he was simply concerned for his health and that is why he has no intention of fighting Wilder again, I would have respected him a hell lot more. However instead he has lied, weaseled and strung people a long believing he was preparing for a rematch, before brazenly gloating about his ducking.

And then there are the pathetic enabling excuse-makers from Fury's backslapping goons, which are shouted from the rooftops of social media

- ''Fury has nothing to prove.''

- ''Fury schooled( always emphasis on ''schooled'' to make it more emotive and believable) him and it would be the same in the rematch''

- ''Everybody knows he won the first fight''

- ''He schooled him and would have done it easily in the rematch''

If we are to go by that line of reasoning where we assume that fury won simply because he went the distance and heard the final bell, whilst the official ruling of the fight as a draw on their record is rendered dull and void in people's head , then we argue that the initial John Mcdermott fight was really a loss for Fury and he;s not really undefeated, since the consensus at the time was that it was only the biggest robberies in Britain after Mcdermott bullied and battered Fury from pillar to post.

There were also calls to suspend the referee in the fight Terrry O'Connor for lifting Fury's hand before the judge's decision were announced. Yet this fight and it's controversy has been conveniently blotted out We will see if these cultists have the mettle and integrity to apply the same line of reasoning that they have decided to adopt for the Wilder fight. What I expect to hear instead is nothing but deflection, excuses and ad hominem attacks for daring to question Fury

He got a pass for ducking the Wlad rematch twice.

Fury put Wlad's career on hold for over a year.

Yea I saw this coming as well, Fury and his handlers are absolutely fine with getting an "unofficial" victory and is perfectly fine with ducking the Wilder rematch. It is a bit disturbing to see the passes they are getting for it too, although I understand the business side of it. He and his handlers know an immediate Wilder rematch could, and probably would, result in the end of his hype, and a great opportunity to maximize their earnings. Real boxing fans lose again.

I have to admit I do find it quite humorous, the idea of a 6'9 250lb HW having to take refuge behind a frail 87 year old man just to get out of a fight.

It's really is hilarious when you think about it
