Yes it's very badass to let a guy talk over you, mock you, feint a punch on you and generally make fun of you without even saying anything. If anything he is classy, but not close to badass.
^ Then what's your definition of a Bad ass?? Your paper champion Lucian Bute who gets knocked down in the final second? Valero fought a champion in Loco Mosquera in his backyward and beat him in a war... NOw that's a bad ass.
Exactly. If anyone is a paper champ, its Bute. Getting KO'd and gettin a gift. Flopping around the ring like a fish in the 12th round. Winning a fight while unconscious and looking like a zombie. atsch sad for boxing.
How did he get KO'd you idiot when he got up?Fight was over anyway.Keep on hating cuz you gonna see him for many years to come beating all comers:yep
Badass is a guy that fights anyone and always comes to fight,Valero hasnt done that yet but by leaving his japanese promoter to join GBP at least shows he wants to step up his comp.
Valero's awesome power makes him a very dangerous opponent even to the elite fighters but apart from Mosquera, he remained untested. Barrios will be a good test to determine how he will perform at higher level. But if he failed to get past Barrios, he should not even consider fighting the likes of Juares and Soto.:yep
I have no problems with Valero, he seems like a good guy. I just don't think he's a very good fighter and he will be severely exposed when he steps up to a B level. Barrios is very underrated and I favor him over everyone in the tournament. He stops Katsidis, who's made for him and can't handle that type of pressure. He outworks the nearly shot Casa and his hardest fight is probably Julio Diaz, who I favor him to break down as well. IMO you're overrating Valero quite a bit.. we'll see who's right. You should look back at some Barrios fights and see how effective he is, even with his sloppy style, lack of balance, and slow handspeed.
He already stepped up to B level and arguably A level against Mosquera. If he was no good he wouldn't have been able to hang with Morales and sportswriters wouldn't have ever been on his jock. The man can fight, obviously. The only question is whether or not he's a superstar or a limited powerpuncher like Ponce De Leon (assuming PDL doesn't surprise everyone and turn into a star himself).
Valero starts saying something like there's a lot of talent (in that division or the fighters present im not sure) but 75% of them are on the way out then he says i came here to make changes, and Barrios interrupts him saying he's not going anywhere, Valero keeps saying yeah you're on your way out , you're useless you're done etc, then barrios asks several times you're going to kick me out? valero says no, not me then Barrios goes up there and says something like speak for yourself and your rival don't talk about me, im not going anywhere where did you come from? ( he says that like 5 times) and that's pretty much it. Sorry about the terrible translation lol.
if this was barrios from a few years ago i'd pick him, but the ammount of blows to the head he's taken give me doubt. i'm sitting on a fence.
