i remember reading in a magazine that forrest was gonna be fighting him and that it was basically gonna make forrest a unified champ and it was talking about fights on the horizon with the delahoyas and such .. then mayorga hit him lmao
It was a pretty good action fight until he got clocked on the temple when he had exerted himself a little too much in that round. He won the first and 2nd round imo, but Mayo got him in the third.
mayorga decked forrest in the 1st (slip ruled a kd i think), but vernon won the 2nd. but yeah, that fight was bad ass. i remember that was about 5 years ago and was shocked, as i'd seen mayorga only once or twice before. i pray he sends angulo flying out of the ring.
