I'd say Briscoe proves to be too much in the long run and gets the KO at about the 9th-10th round.

No need to be said but this would have been a war.

IMO Briscoe 's better chin and better power would be the difference in this fight and he stops The Blade at around the seventh round.

Could go either way...... Both were good middles and both had their good nights and off nights.......... The Barkley who beat "Kinchen, Olajide and Hearns" at 160 pounds would be a live dog against the better acclaimed Briscoe........ That's no ****..... A great match-up.....

I remember tough Jorge Amparo pressuring Iran onto the backfoot and Amparo had no Jab, Bad Bennie comes in behind a very hard Jab, he once said "He aims for the back of an opponents head...through the front.." That aggressive Jab will i think play havoc with Irans attempts to set himself to meet fire with fire..
With Bennie's Hooks and right hands Launching off the Jab i can see Iran, always willing, slowly being ground down, and one-eyed, being saved from his brave self around the 10th, Bennie didnt like movers..he liked a consistant target, the more "face First" the better...I think Iran comes off his Perfect Opponent Design Board.

Briscoe at his best was like a tank..Barkley was a pale comparison at best.

Iran Barkley, a balls out brawler would have an edge thru 6-Rounds, but
'Bad Bennie' always stayed in the 'pocket' and fired straight crisp 'one-two's.

By Round 7, 'The Blade Would Fade', and 'Badlie' would march through the
trenches like The Marines at Iwo Jima and batter Barkley into a mess in
    Round 8.

Briscoe stops Barkely in the ninth round of a thriller, with Iran slightly ahead on points.
