Im pretty sure they are friends actually.

 

There is a lot of competitiveness of course. I could handle losing a fight, but I definitely would not like to loose a fight to a friend.

Just like when Mundine fought Green. A lot of additional feelings surface and both try harder. It is always like that - these are the fights that both want to win.

 

Only reason I can think (and I'm reaching here) is the Taylor-Wright controversy and the fact that Jeff is Winky's boy. :conf

Last I checked, they were cool as hell.

Before Calzaghe brought Lacy down, in his words, they wanted to set up a Hagler-Hearns showdown between each other.

Taylor and Lacy are cool. I wonder if you're thinking about Dawson and Taylor, because Chad definitely has a chip on his shoulder about that.

 

taylor and lacy were former team mates they started a light beef when lacy showed up to support wright for his fight against taylor.

then on an article on esb i rember it stating lacy said he use to get the better of taylor during sparring and taylor responed wtih"what i use to whoop his but". or something like that.

then in a boxingtalk article lacy was saying it doen't matter what taylor says because it will all come out in the ring
