With the exception of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Chad Dawson is my favorite fighter. I believe he is top 5 P4P and the best 175 pounder on the planet. A slick southpaw with a good chin, gotta love him. Nobody is going to beat him for a long, long time.

 

Most be why Chad will be sitting at ringside for Bute-Miranda. :tong

 

At 27 I think he is the front runner to be the next P4P #1 when Mayweather and Pacquiao either retire or get too old.

 

:huhAnd Dawson going to the fight means what in regards to Bute's feeling about the fight???

 

I'm pretty sure Bute would fight anyone. His promoter will probably want to stay away from Chad tho.

 

Let's talk about him.

When is his next fight?

 

Chads problem is he has no interesting opponents. No fault of his own. Pigs will fly before Hopkins would consider fighting him. Cloud would be trouble for anyone , but for Dawson, the risk is much greater than the reward right now.
Ultimatley, Dawson_Cloud would be THE fight, but both guys need to be promoted a little more vigorously before that fight would be financially feasable.

 

Chad has the tools to be a great fighter...I dont see anybody at 175 beating him no time soon...Chad is getting better and better with each fight..His combos are looking crisp and he looks sharp everytime he steps in the ring. Cant what to see him beat the **** out of Pascal!

best light heavy fighter by a way, would beat hopkins and has a nice fluent style to watch.

i enjoy his fights/his attitude and his abilty


unfortuanatly he requires someone to make a big fight off , because of reasons i have not got a clue about, americans simply do not pay to go and watch his fights .

you could fit his attending fanbase in a blockbusters shop and still have room.

if dawson was german or from the uk he would have a great fanbase with his style and his talent.

i hope soon that american fans start to warm to him and actually pay to watch him.

 

Now there's a guy with zero killer instinct and a dull, passionless syle of fighting. How can some1 so talented be so dull in the ring is beyond me.


The only and I mean only reason he is not a draw and prolly never will be on his own is his fighting style. Far more people would pay to watch a guy like Kirkland fight rather than a Dawson type. People don't really want to see decisions.


He's the type of fighter that, despite being technically and physcially superior to his opponent prefers to go to the cards. People have a serious problem with that and rightfully so. Don't bring up the Wlad comparisons cuz, at the end of the day, Wlad is a KO artist. Dawson isn't.

 

right.....bute can beat him too....of course.... what is the world outside of canada thinking!
