Joel Diaz gave some poor advice to Tim Bradley last night. In between the 11th and 12th round Joel Diaz instructed Bradley to go and finish Holt.
What was he thinking? Not only did Bradley get knocked down but he could have lost the fight, a fight he was winning on most people's scorecards! What a poor piece of advice.
Another strange deal is if you were a pro boxing trainer would you train your brother or another fighter if they both fought on the same night? How much turmoil do you think is in the Diaz's house after Julio, Joel's younger brother , got knocked out while Joel decided to be in Bradley's corner. What would you do if your brother and another one of your fighters fought on the same day in different loications? I would be with my brother even if it meant me losing my other champion fighter. How about you , what would you do?

That's wasn't bad advice. Whenever Bradley stopped being aggressive he was getting picked apart by Holt. Plus running for the last couple of rounds would have looked bad to the judges in a very close fight.

Well Holt's corner was ****, it was like they didn't care and this rubbed off on Holt, Holt didn't work at all after the first round accept for the last 30 sceonds. When i was watching the fight i imagined what would have happened if Holt would have had that attitude with Enzo Calzaghe? Enzo would have probably punched him and shaken him until he decided to fight

I thought Holt's corner was fine. They told him exactly what they needed to tell him, to throw jabs and let his hands go.

That said it looked like they were talking to a wall that only knew how to say "yeah". They probably could've told Holt to go and judo kick Bradley in the face and he would've "yeah yeah yeah" them.

The corner were saying, "your doing fine champ." when it was obvious he was loosing.

He should sack his trainer and employ Norman Stone.

I agree, A trainers job is to make sure that he does what is needed to get his fighter motivated in there, sorry but Holts corner should have told him that he needed to start doing some damage in there and they should have told him that around the 8th round giving their man enough time to either sweep some of the last rounds or pulling off a stoppage.

I hate when corners dont tell their fighters the truth.

Yeah, Holt's corner looked pussified like they were scared to say what we all were thinking. He had the tools to get it done but seems like he was fighting with no gameplan but to counter for the KO. He could of just boxed him....

It's very clear on the audio and everybody should have heard that Diaz was telling Bradley "to be very careful" out there. :deal

It was Holt's corner people who are dumb. :yep

Holt could have won a lot of close rounds if they advice Holt to move forward and continue the pressure. Bradley was already taken out of his comfort zone early because Holt is beating him into the punch every time Bradley comes in . . . but they stopped it. :-(

Even if you watch the replay a 100 times . . . it will show you that clearer and solid punches was landed by Holt rather than Bradley.
