'Fight like Joe Calzaghe for a round or two'

Briggs corner obviously a huge lack of care for their fights and there will be numerous example of this.

Bit suspiscious of Adam Booth assuming Haye wins rounds when they are close affairs, against Valuev this could have backfired, his advice was just 'make him me' and so consequently he threww about 2 punches a round.

I don't think the Valuev fight was that close. You can't score someone for effort alone - they need to land!

But you have a point. Haye clearly needs a calm voice in the corner, telling him what he needs to hear. Booth stays calm, keeps him focused on the game plan and tells him that it's working.

    So far he's been right.

It's a tough one with Booth, generally he's pretty much on the money but I thought he was taking a bit of a chance in the Valuev fight - I had Haye winning 8-4 but on foreign soil and a Don King Promotion......

Still, all's well that ends well.

There was a fight on FNF where Teddy Atlas was yelling 'stop the fight' to the referee while commentating because the corner hadn't pulled him out.

Couldn't tell you the fight but I must have watched it on ESPN so would be the last 12 months

Can't believe nobody has mentioned whoever was in Michael Watson's corner. He should never have gone out after that uppercut and while the ref has to shoulder some of the blame, the corner have to protect their fighter and that was shameful.

Davey Moore's corner while in the proccess of being blinded in one eye by a Duran thumb & then being systematicly smashed to bits they ask him if he's OK then telling this poor tortured bruised & battered slab of meat "that he's got to ruck it on in there" the NY boxing commisioner had to jump up onto the ring apron & order the ref to stop the massacre in the 8th.
