if you're gonna give medical advice you should probably learn how to spell words as basic as the word NECK

Stiff neck is commonly caused by an involuntary action that passes a lot of strain to your neck. Sometimes, you get stiff neck even by sleeping in the wrong direction at night. The Nauka Asan (Boat Pose) is very effective for your stiff neck. It also helps you cut the extra layers of fat from your waist line. Digestion is improved and the asana relieves you from constipation.

medically im not going to give you advice thats what doctors are for. But i would try getting some diclofenac gel not the tablets. You can get it over the counter and apply it directly to the affected area. Also known as Volterol or Valtarin gel

if diclofenac is the same as voltarin, then it is basically a NSAID (non steriod anti inflammatory drug).

If you suffered the injury 2 weeks ago, the anti inflammatory will do little to nothing. It treats some of the systoms (the swelling, obviously) but does not look at the cause of the problem.

I would advise going to see a physio or osteo for diagnosis of the actual problem, and then they can prescribe the right sort of exercises for better rehab of the injured muscle.

I suggest a physio or osteo because injuries around that area often give refered pain too, which may or may not be the case with you. (eg: rotator cuff injuries commonly give refered elbow pain).

edit: also, once proper diagnosis is achieved, if it is tendon/ligament damage, it is a common procedure for injections of cortisol, a type of steriod which helps tendons/ligaments heal faster. Thats another reason to go get a speedy diagnosis.
