Bad news for bob arum....

its really ****ed that clottey's trainer cant get over here.

I was already concerned with him taking the fight on about 8 weeks notice when pac was already training.

I mean its a really good fight and I think with the right strategy Clottey can actually win and beat Pac, he has the physical tools and style to do it. But he needs to be at his absolute top form and that is not going to happen.

yea,, Clottey may not be as big a name as Mosley or Mayweather, but nevertheless... he is a very dangerous opponent at 147... the guy comes into the ring around 170 lbs ... Pac is going to have his hands full

 

True, I however don't think Floyd will lose to SMM and if he does I have a hutch that he'll wind up fighting Pac in his next fight and forgo the immediate rematch with Shane.

 

we can agree on that, like someone else said, pacs drawing power will be tested here. I really dont see it selling too well in comparison to money-mosley. i say around the 700,000 range. money-mosley around 1.5-1.6 mil.( maybe more, soooo much hype behind this fight)

 

This fight just doesn't have the buzz.


Clottey's last fight was against Cotto... and Pac just killed him.

So to the public, Pac is a fighting a guy who lost to the guy he just killed. What gives him a better chance?

With the news of Clotteys trainer not getting a visa, it makes this fight even worse.

 

The dallas show is starting to look really good, the undercard has some exciting crowd pleasing fighters like Duddy and Foreman, viewers will witness the return of the infamous antonio margarito, gomez v castillo is a top notch second billing and all of this takes place in a stadium housing 40,000 plus spectators in front of the largest HD TV in the world.

If boxing fans can't excited by this then were all a bunch of idiots...

With Clottey's trainer stuck in Ghana this is looking even more of a farce.

 

Of course the Shane-Mayweather fight is just a much bigger fight.. Clottey-Pac should be entertaining and he's a REAL test for Pac against a big welter..Probelm is you ask Joe Shmoe who Clottey is and they just stare at you....Pac may have screwed himself on this cause if Shane taps that ass like I think he will, he's outback for the next year.. Pac had the chance to end the myth, now Mosley gets to do it. Shane will be a much harder matchup for Pac than Floyd would have.... He should have took the damn tests and shut everyones mouth... ****ing Ego's...
