Whenever an athlete deals with any kind of scandle, the remedy to make it go away is to win. It worked with Kobe and the **** case, Jordan and the gambling debt, and it will soon work with Tiger and the sex scandle.
Add another name to the list, it's a strong rumor that Joe Calzage has be contacting the Hopkins camp for a rematch, we know Hopkins would love the fight, but if Joe thinks he can come out of retirement fight Hopkins, win a retire as a hero again he has lost his mind. He will be forced to fight either Chad Dawson who won't mind coming down to fight him or Paul Wiliiams who wouldn't mind going up to fight him. Either way he is gonna get that ass tapped and that 0 will go.

i thought this would happen. calzaghe was at the weigh-in for the floyd mayweather fight against mosley, and probably thought i'll love to do this again. the same happened when he was at the hatton-mayweather weigh-in, calzaghe suddenley wanted to fight in america. it's the atmposphere of the big fights, it gets you like you're an ex drug addict.

dawson has too much for calzaghe at this stage of his career and hopkins would be another borefest.

as for williams. lol, calzaghe would man **** williams like nothing you've seen. he'd get inside those big lanky arms and work him over badly on the inside.

the difference in ring iq between the two would be too much for williams to overcome.

even dawson is not good enough. we're talking about a guy who had problems with an old glen johnson.

Come on, Joe is 38... The man is far past it and has been out of the ring for 1½ years now. If he does fight somebody, it's only normal he fights a over the hill stiff like B-Hop, or some contender level opponent. You can't put him in with the top fighters right now, the man is done!

You're going to far with Dawson talk, and Glen Johnson would give anybody trouble

Well yeah, you gotta believe it wont look good for Joe if he beats Hopkins in a rematch and does not take on someone like Dawson or Cloud, perhaps he would go for someone like Pascal or Glen Johnson as an easier option?

Pascal is a good exciting fighter but if Froch can beat him it suggests he is not on Calzaghe's level.

I was gonna post something but I wish he would just go away so the Caltards would stop putting 5-6 threads a day on the board . . . are they all on crack?

I think Cloud would get Lacy'd if he fought Calzaghe. Dawson, I'd favor at this point in time though. If I were ranking it in likelihood of who could beat Joe now, it'd look something like this...
    1)Dawson
    2)Pascal
    3)Johnson
    4)Cloud

When you retire, and see some big fights you'll probably miss the glory... This could tempt him to come out again. Maybe he wants to fight B-hop first and then shuts Froch out??

Maybe he wants to lose a fight and then meet Froch on equal terms?
