The jury of the WBC World Championship has been decided between Tyson Fury and Deontay WIlder. It will be all American: Tim Cheatham and Dave Moretti of Nevada, Steve Weisfeld of New Jersey. The referee will be Russell Mora, also from Nevada. It's a scandalous designation. Russell Mora the more he gets it wrong, the more he gets rewarded. November 14 of the year sip saw an involuntary header during the first round of the WBA superfly title between Joshua Franco and Andrew Moloney. A newspaper that the same commentators of ESPN, which broadcast the match, after having covered dozens and dozens of times the offending shooting were not able to identify. For them, as for me, it was Moloney's left that caused the damage. First in jab, then in hook and then used with a plunger right on the wound. But what matters in an official judgment is what is sanctioned by the referee. So when the doctor rightly interrupted the match because the champion's right eye was swollen and closed, as the match was still in the third round, the verdict was no decision. Franco saved the title. Russell Mora, for those who do not remember is the same who has NOT sanctioned thirty low blows of Abnes Mares in the IBF bantamweight title against Joseph Agbeko. Hits that also provoked two tragicomic counts by a referee who, interviewed at the end of the match by Jim Gray of Showtime who showed him the replay of the incorrect actions, defended himself by saying: "Here you see from a different angle and in the ring there is no replay ”. Troubled by Gray's questions, Mora cut it short: "You're off the road!" Al Bernstein, a Showtime commentator, did not go light: "The worst referee I've seen in the last fifteen years." The bleacherreport.com was better: "Among the five worst of the last ten years". Despite the chain errors, we find him once again in the ring to direct always important matches. I really think we can say it was a scandalous designation
Ying and Yang of boxing For every extended break and point Kenny took off Fury last time out the reverse will happen this time Jack Riess was the best of the bunch, but it was a type of fight where he could stay out of it almost completely Fury will be on Wilder this time. Wilder expects the ref to save him from 1 hand clinches he is wrong. Fury is going to maul him.
Figures... Vegas will be Vegas. That's why I expect a close decision for Fury, for what should be a wide decision or mercy stoppage. Mora will allow everything from Wilder. I expect Cheat'm, Morretti and Weisfeld will score every close Fury round for Deontay, and it will end up like 116-112/115-113/115-113, while it should be closer to 118-110 in reality.
Could the ref for the trilogy fight be any worse or more biased than Kenny Bayless was in the second fight ?
Pre- loaded excuse #8. 1) inactivity 2) sick baby 3) bad judging 4) bad ref 5) mental issues 6) Wilder on HGH 7) bad camp 8) covid Keep'em coming!
Whenever the name Moretti is mentioned it triggers a feeling like a scorecard from Adelaide Byrd...She made him look good, he didn't look so good judging Miguel Vazquez’ v Prescott or Oscar De La Hoya UD Felix Sturm Judge: Dave Moretti 115-113 not again Dave ... Jermain Taylor UD Bernard Hopkins II Judge: Dave Moretti 115-113 Dave be happy with your salary ...Oh more Golden Boy 1st Oscar the Bernard & guess who's next for Uncle Dave's dodgy scoring ... Saul Alvarez SD Erislandly Lara Judge: Dave Moretti 115-113 !...
And Wilder's list of excuses, pre-loaded and reloaded: -Egg Weights -No padding -Gloves too floppy -Bad Judging -Bad Ref -Racism -Gained too much weight -Lifted too much -Suit too heavy again -Overtrained -COVID -Fury on HGH -Mental issues -Gypsy curse -Drugged water -Balls hurt -Fist in wrong part of glove -Betrayed by corner -Too tired -Headphones ruined equilibrium -Ate too much -Fingers hurt from piano -Fingers hurt from texting -Voodoo curse -Broken back -No caesarian -Malik Scott was too tender -Fury didn't climb onto my chest for me to lift him -Wrong ring walk music -Fury on PEDs -Dented skull -Too many instagram quotes -Chestnuts -Fury too oily -Didn't make enough excuses -Had the flu
If this sees the final bell, it'll be like AJ-Usyk, far too wide for a robbery. The KD's made it just about plausible in the first, even if the one card was a joke, Wilder will need the same at an absolute minimum.
All Wilder excuses were post fight. As ridiculous and laughable as they may be, the Fury excuses are exponentially worse, because you guys are making up excuses before 1 punch is thrown. Pitiful, just pitiful!
