I like Foreman. I think he is a great role model and a clever guy who became a boxer, but I think 'cute' describes him better than 'bad'. Ask women if they think he is cuddly... they do. They don't think Vitaly or Tyson would be cuddly. They probably also don't think Peter is cuddly, but more flabby, but that is another thing again..
A few spring to mind.... Marvin was first in my head, followed by Mike Tyson and Sonny Liston. Jack Dempsey and his no mercy ethic too.. A young Thomas Hearns and Roberto Duran.... Mike Moorer at light heavyweight too, he was very menacing..
liston tyson hagler benn foreman vitali (he is not bad ass before the fight he is quiet but he sure rubs it in and makes you feel about 1" tall after the fight)
I don't think anyone struck fear into their opponent in the same way Tyson did. Even when he became beatable. Nobody likes getting their ear bitten off or being threatened to have their children eaten. An animal outside of the ring too. With some fighters you get te feeling that it is for show (Hopkins) but with Tyson... The man could be Satan personified. Tyson by a mile unless you include clubber lang? (Toungue in cheek guys... laugh it off)
smokin joe anyone? hitman hearns? marciano? this one may prove contaversial but oliver mccall before he went soft?
It wouldnt be no fight, Hearns would brutalize him in 4. Anyway - my choices would be........ Tyson, Liston, Foreman, Duran, Hagler. Someone said Morales - He sure was a bad mofo once he got inside that ring but I dont think he carried himself as an intimidating figure where fighters would outright fear him going into the bout & possibly giving up hope before a punch is thrown the way they did Tyson & co. :thumbsup
