Ask me going into the Groves fight, I didn't think anything of jack really. I'd counted him out as a bit of a do nothing fighter, one of the guys who has some skill but after a loss just doesn't give it their all and sticks around for the fights here and there but kind of calls it quits at the top level, though he had done well in the Dirrell fight I've never thought that highly of Dirrell either, so it didn't do much for me. Regardless, going into the Groves fight his shaky KO loss to relatively feather fisted Dereck Edwards didn't leave me with high hopes. Then he proved me wrong in a fight that at the time I didn't want to give him credit for, I blamed Groves **** gas tank and neglected to compliment Jack's vicious bodywork he kept up with the entire fight until Groves was huffing fumes.

Next on he fought Bute, again I didn't give him much credit, I saw the draw as a robbery but I still didn't give Jack too much credit as Bute was a (ped popping) shadow of his former self and I figured was ripe for the taking. Not the greatest win on a resume by that stage.

Degale is where I thought he'd get iced again. I'd always viewed Degale as one of the better men at 168 and above a man like Jack who I'd pretty much discarded. Then in what I thought was a great display, Jack came out to IMO tear degale up pretty well over the 12, after a shaky start he did more than enough to get the win in my books, and I had him robbed on the cards, as with Bute.

So now I'd started to like Jack a bit more, after downplaying and not acknowledging his skills for so long he was proving me wrong that he had developed far as a fighter and hasn't let his KO loss slow him down at all.

He then moves up and flattens Cleverly, sure Clev is past it, but there were a share of people here that thought it would be a pretty even fight, which it was anything but.

Now we've got a guy who after coming back from a KO loss and two IMO robbery draws (tho Bute was overturned) has consistently sought out the best fights he can for himself and is constantly pushing himself up there to try and make a name.

The dude has some of the tightest most vicious bodywork in the game and a gas tank that doesn't run out, and I'm happy to admit I was wrong about the guy. I think it's time people give him a bit of attention and respekt

He's a great overachiever, and an excellent fighter who's earned his stripes the hard way. Big respect to him.

I love Badou Jack, he is a jack of all trades so to speak (pun intended). Very solid in all aspects of boxing but not elite in any. He will fight anybody and just seem a great ambassador of the sport. He hasnt been given anything or had an easy way up.

That KO loss really makes people dismiss him as i did very ignorantly going into thr groves fight. People were saying Groves wont have an easier chance to win a world title! How wrong everybody was!

I picked GG, Degale and Cleverly to beat him because I thought he was pretty average. Happy to be proved wrong in this case. Very solid fighter.

I'd be 100% on the bandwagon if he didn't have Memo on the payroll. Easy to root for besides that.

Still think it's fishy that Memo worked with both Bute and Jack when Bute was gifted a draw, only to have Bute pop positive so it didn't muck up the already agreed upon Jack-Degale fight.

Jack has actually been improving in the last 3-4 years, which is why he keeps proving us wrong.

Certainly deserves plenty of credit, even though I personally think the very best fighters at 175 lb will beat him.

Bute outworked him hard, don't agree with the connect % at all.

Didn't see the whole Groves fight but he did beat Degale and was robbed

    I love him.

It took me awhile to get over his name. I kept thinking it was wrong to have a first name last.

Skoglund will take his lunch money and he would not get past half way vs Smith

Ignoring that hes at LHW now, i think you'd be dumb to count Jack out from here on, he's the real miracle man
