    I'm not blaming anyone yet. I'm just not rushing to judgement - especially so when Adonis 'I don't want no live bodies in with me' Stevenson is involved.

    Still gotta love the drama queens that jump straight out of their panties when news like this breaks. The best part is how they insert the actual boxers name as the person “turning down” a fight lol! When will ESB grow up.

    Very surprising if true.

    Maybe Haymon/PBC couldn't afford to keep throwing so much money to Alvarez? The decision of who to fight for both Jack and Adonis is up to them, ultimately, whichever happens.

    Yeah, OK. The "source" didn't take long to renig. Cause if Stevenson/Jack wasn't next, that would have been some wack ass news.

    1) since when is Michael Benson (who?) "reliable enough" that no additional sources are required? Hardly anybody in the business is that reliable. Even somebody like Dan Rafael needs to be fact-checked, as he gets stuff wrong pretty frequently.

    2) he wasn't even the primary source, in his own tweet he says he's just passing on what a radio station reported.

    3) he followed-up with a retweet of Adonis Stevenson himself debunking the radio station:

    Even if he is fighting Stevenson next, I'll still call him Badou Quack.:deal:

    He has no desire to step in the ring with The Buffalo, The Nail or The Steamroller, that would jeopardize the mucho mucho dinero he'll make fighting old ass Stevenson. He figures there's a possibility he's catching The Pimp at the right moment, the other guys, he'll have to wait for another 4 to 5 years for that. But I don't really blame him, if I could bypass a whole bunch of guys that would kick my ass for little money, to take on a guy that will kick my ass for a lot of money, I'd take that deal too.:D

    Jack could knock out the entire heavyweight division and you'd say he's ducking a fight with the entire USMC all at once or something

    He beat a decrepit cashing out, as in retired immediately afterward shot to hell version of Clev, and drew with DeGale, the guy you jus got the ever living **** beaten out of him by Danny Jacobs and Jermaine Taylor's leftovers, and quite frankly Porky Medina's leftovers. That **** poor chronic overachiever Jack resume is looking less and less impressive The guy's best wins are draws. Cool it with your platitudinal hyperbole, he isn't going to do **** at Light Heavyweight.

    Not a huge point but just to clear up who Benson is, he's literally a dude here in the UK who collates loads of boxing news and tweets it. He gets a lot of stick on Twitter for doing that because he doesn't always list the source (even though it's clear from other tweets he is never the source) but I personally quite like that my boxing intake is managed in one place

    You’re in pure denial mode and will find any justification to criticize Jack no matter how trivial it may be. You normally follow up your biased with honesty and admittance instead of struggling to illuminate how “poor” Jack is.

    We get it, you’re a huge supporter of the EE contingent and I fully understand why I just don’t get why you find it so hard to accept fighters that don’t fit you’re particular mold of greatness, very subjective thinking by a generally intelligent man like yourself. I’m not shocked just disappointed by the lack of ownership for the biased. Fighting Stevenson is completely legit for a host of reasons yet you still label a man that would eat you for lunch a ducker. Boxing fans live in this unique paradox where men that can physically end their life one on one are constantly subjected to shallow judgement by keyboard warriors who likely evaluate them based more in their physical characteristics rather than heart they brandish in the ring.

    The sources that he uses are reliable most of the time. Benson and Rafael are the best twitter follows when it comes to boxing news in my opinion. But if you know some insiders that are better than them, feel free to let me know.

    So much for that reliable source. Some London blokie with a Twitter account who seems to care more about succer than boxing repeating some hearsay.

    When this thread was posted I was mildly amazed by how ready everybody in it was to think the worst of Jack, who is one of the more ready, willing and able Haymon charges. Sure enough, up he steps.

    As for the matchup;

    I think Jack has a great shot, myself. Since when was Stevenson much more than an explosive left cross? All things considered, Jack has to be his best opponent in about five years (if not his best opponent period, as one might argue that Chad was there to be took after the Ward spanking).
