Badou Jack vacates to challenge for Bridger title/King to promote vacant WBC Cruiser title Nov 4

    Apparently, Badou Jack has relinquished the WBC Cruiserweight Title he won earlier this year against Ilunga Makabu.

    Jack wants to challenge the WBC Bridgerweight champion early next year. Jack has signed with the Saudi Skills Challenge Entertainment. So they'll probably be able to snag that fight.

    I had to look it up, but the reigning WBC (and only) Bridgerweight Champion is Lukasz Rozanski. He won the vacant Bridgerweight belt against Alen Babic via one-round KO in April.

    Jack is 39 and Rozanski is a spry 37.

    So Don King has announced he's promoting the vacant WBC Cruiserweight Title fight on Nov. 4 at the Casino Miami in Florida.

    The match will feature WBC #1 contender Noel Mikaelyan vs. the WBC #2 (and former champ) Makabu.

    The chief support will be a heavyweight fight between former WBA "Regular" Champ Trevor Bryan vs. Cassius Chaney (who both have identical records: 22-1 with 15 kos).

    Adrien Broner was going to be on the card but he will headline a show at the same venue on Dec. 2.

    Jack should have taken the Clenelo fight but told Clenelo that the weight demands weren’t gonna happen. Maybe he could have forced his hand there.

    I think they should change the word from "bridgerweight" to "Super Duper Cruiserweight" to make it sound more impressive than it really is.

    I don't like that Jack is legitimizing that joke division but it should be entertaining.
