    Scary guy, most definitely. A real athletic freak looking guy, too. Rarely put it all together, tho. I would not qualify him as one of greatest of all time. Rather, he was one who really underachieved, at least from the physical hand of cards God dealt him.

    baer sure had some frame on him. easily 230 - 240 lbs with todays advantages.

    Both he and his brother Buddy were big, strong guys. They would be big in any era. Baer absolutely wasted his raw athletic talent with his lackladaisical attitude to training and light-hearted approach to the fight game in general.

    With the right attitude and serious approach to the game, he could have been a far more formidable force than he was.

    Farr's head movement and left hand were pretty impressive. Doubled up on that left hand really well.
