Nice to see a cleaned up version ,but it' s the same fight and speaking only for myself I'm not influenced by commentators ,[even if one of them is Emmanuel Steward,] my eyes tell me all I need to know.] That being said I don't think it enhances Baer as a fighter, he had a dynamite right hand, which surely everyone even vaguely familiar with boxing knew ?
Comiskey comes in wide open and walks into it. The camera that recorded the Fitz v Corbett fight would have shown that much. So apart from seeing a more vivid version of the fight ,I don't see what point has been proved here.

It is a shame that Baer did not retire after this fight.

Comiskey was a rising contender, and Max Ber was the ex-champ on the slide, and Baer just annihilated him.

Wouldn’t that have been a much better not to go out on than the last Nova fight?

I see what you are saying but I saw the Nova fights as more of a kind of redemption for Max.
His courage was rightly called into question after the Louis debacle but he went out on his shield against Nova. Doing his best with damaged mitts,he showed heart and took his lumps.

Comiskey was tough. Stopped only twice in 12 losses. The second being 8 years after this fight. Baer essentially clowinng him and ending him with one punch in the first.
