Baer vs Lewis

Can I please see a copy of these films that show Max Baer, yes Max Baer as being the "usually the quickest on his feat" with this mind blowing "athleticism"? There must be films that I'm missing that show that, along with his superb technical skills that I simply haven't seen yet. Sometimes I feel like we're talking about two totally different people, because the Baer I see, has about a 5% chance of beating Lewis. If that.

 

I like this declaration of superiority before coming up with the same prediction as almost everyone else.

It's true you just complained about everyone overrating Baer then basically gave the same prediction as the people supposedly overrating Baer.

My answer is all of them. Every filmed fight I've seen of the man, he's quicker and lighter on his feet than his opponent. Now before you say, Joe Louis, he had faster hands than a declining Baer but that's about it.

The knock against Baer is that he was a clown, crude, and lazy, not that he lacked athleticism, that critique is a recent trend on this site and it couldn't be further from the truth. Baer's whole thing was he relied on his physical prowess and gifts over technical skill, and it's okay to admit that, you bunch of weirdoes.

I gave an opinion on Baer's standing on here, then I gave an opinion on what I thought of Baer as a fighter, then I gave an opinion of his chances against Lewis.
If these opinions are similar to the consensus then I'm sorry but
1. I can't be arsed to give a detailed breakdown of my opinions.
2. I'm off to bed shortly have to be up early for work after the holidays.
3. Any considered opinion I gave would be answered with your usual sarcasm against anyone you disagree with.
Basically I think Baer was crap and not in the same class as Lewis.

Well, calling Baer crap I will have to disagree with. That's hyperbole. Baer is usually a top 30 or 50 HW of all time pick. I would rate Baer over Rahman and McCall for sure.
