That's not the case at all. He's got a little bit of physical talent in fluidity, agility and speed and this bodes well once coupled with toughness. He's got an ok skill set but borderline horrendous technique.

So you don't get brain damage but still practice punching?

It can improve your speed if you practice hitting it fast, it depends how you use it

I agree but what I was saying is that there's better exercises for speed. You only have so much energy for your workout and it is better used maximizing the usefulness of each exercise. Now if the heavy bag is you only equipment then yes, that works.

Oh dear we got another imbecile over here who doesn't know squat about boxing, and punches like a 12 year old girl. Mate, if you have any power whatsoever you will wreck your hands if you punch without gloves on the heavybag.

As for your physics of hard knuckles vs soft knuckles theory? What the fk have you been smoking. First off if you punch hard and often even with gloves, your knuckles will harden up. Secondly, a professionally wrapped hand, plus fight gloves will be hard as ****. You don't need 'hard' knuckles when you've got a solid weapon like that.

Furthermore, a boxer's hands are arguably his most valuable tools and needs to be protected. The wear and tear picked up through the years of boxing training will leave most fighters with hand problems. The only thing you are going to accomplish if you punch the bag hard without gloves is to accelerate that wear and tear, exacerbate any injuries and ultimately destroy your hands.

For advocating such advice and the possibillity that some t.wat will read this and fk up his hands I feel you should fk off this forum and take your idiocy elsewhere!!! :fire

Yeh I suppose mate, what kind of exercises do you mean? And like you say depends if you have a training partner or what equipment etc.

Know it won't go down well with all the s&c experts on here, but I do tend to think that you improve punch speed by punching the bag quicker, the pads quicker, sparring quicker, do shadow quickly etc. Just do everything quick, skip quick anything

Year zero, sounds like your IQ, I suppose your nick name is 'hands of stone'. What weight do you fight at, tell me where your gym is and I knock you into tommorrow if you want to try my techniques out!

Carry on training using your useless methods, for you will be at a great disadvantage when you enter the ring with a fighter with his maximum mass!

Advocating useing bag gloves over boxing gloves is wrong? Clearly you have suffered brain
damage, your logic makes no sense.

Focus on speed and combos using the double end bag. Focus on hard heavy power punches when on the heavy bag. Of course hand speed on the speed bag. Put it all together in sparring.

Where the fk did you say anything about bag gloves? You're talking about low IQ but your tiny little brain can't comprehend that fight gloves, sparring gloves, super bag gloves, bag mitts all fall into the category of boxing gloves. You should have specifically referred to that in your post then.

And I'm angry cause I've seen the damage people have done to their hands when given stupid advice and ****ty, inadequate equipment to use.
