What!? I have been out (went to see the hangover - awesome film), can someone fill me in with the rest of the results please?
Agreed I met Akaash at Peacock the other week and he got a big lump near eye...supposedly a pad caught him there maybe he was struggling in sparring who knows...but i think there will be criticism towards Maloney for not stepping him up and giving him learning fights etc but i think he still should of won tonight but i always had a question mark on him as he hasn't had a proper fight up until tonight.
Probably gone stale because of his opposition. This is the danger of so called "safe" matchmaking for too long. It breeds complacency and mistakes. Nobody could tell me Bhaatia shouldn't have beaten McArthur.
Nothing really there both in top 10 i think and at the moment alot of top 10 are tied up either just been beaten or dealing with commonwealth title so these two were in right place at right time. Akaash has a padded record but i thought he would of won tonight but maybe as TFFP says he gone stale and maybe he was presented with a fighter willing to fire back.
Yeah sounds about right to be honest. Good division IMO at domestic level if matthews and appleby can regroup and get back to winnings ways witht the like of lindsay, simpson and truscottcould be some domestic fights to be made. Also if you through Choi tsveenpurev into the mix could get really interesting now that hes back from mongolia. Hopefully Simpson gets a crack at lindsay but think truscott wont be an easy fight 1st but reckon john with a late stoppage hes been training so hard for this fight just hope he doesnt overtrain like he did before the appleby fight and by the time the fight came around he just didnt seem to have that spark on the night was very flat.
sky never said and his boxrecs not updated yet but i think it safe to say he won looking at his opponents record.
