This will be headlining on an RMC Sport card at Palais des Sports Marcel-Cerdan in Hauts-de-Seine, France tomorrow. Most of the boxing world will be tuned into Parker vs. Wardley on DAZN, however, so this one is destined to fly under the radar.

Samake is the WBC's reigning Silver champion at 154lbs, and was recently promoted to #1 contender (after Jaron Ennis became the WBA interim champ). This means he is now in position to be the mandatory challenger for either full titlist Sebastián Alexander "Towering Inferno" Fundora or interim titlist Vergil Efrain "The Mustang" Ortíz Jr.

Ortíz is a six year pro, like Samake professionally undefeated with a perfect record of 25-0 with 24 knockouts - but that was built up entirely at home in Venezuela. Only four opponents in his career to date have boasted positive records when he fought them - just one managing to extend him past a sixth round.
