Alright, I'm bailing on the ShoBox card.... I'm pausing my live television, I'll catch up on the Jalalov fight later, no one spoil it over on the DAZN card.

Sean O'Grady! Called some of the funniest fights ever on USA Tuesday Night Fights.

Agreed. He could have cut apart Arias with that jab....

What did this fight tell us?

'tis better to be a middling Heavyweight in N. America than a useful Cruiserweight.

If this fight went 12 Green was about to make it look like Byrd vs Tua with that southpaw jab and constant counterclockwise pivots he was using. But at that point Arias should have done enough to at least make it a draw even if Green won rounds 8-12

Sort of strange that Alante Green was on this card at all. The conspiracy theorist in me asks: Why put him there unless you were preparing to gift him a win all along?

Ideally, Green should go back to CW (the extra weight doesn't help him here) and George Arias should try Bridger.

I think Arias is a bit too stocky for CW. He's built a bit like Eddie Chambers and Eddie was drained down at CW.

Arias's frame seems to be a fit for Bridger.

Green has had some modest success at CW and I think he's better off staying put there and trying to get frights with the likes of Tabiti or Glanton.

    He shouldn't entertain bridgerweight.

    You're probably right.

Bridger is scarcely a thing at all but the few fish in the pond are guys like Babic, Rivas, Balski, etc. I don't think they will be impressed with Arias's punching power (or the lack thereof).

Easier to earn a living at HW.

20lbs is definitely a lot of weight to lose but I think he could do it if he gradually works his way down over a year or two, Mike Perez who is also a stocky guy about as tall as Arias did it and he used to weigh 240 at heavyweight

True and Mike Perez was not a young man when he moved down. That said, Perez has a lot more natural punching power than Arias does.

I just don't think you can earn a decent living at CW in N. (or S.) America right now. Brandon Glanton put on a FOTY show with E. Apochi in 2021...and he's completely AWOL. It let to absolutely nothing for him. In fact, it would be tough to name any significant CW bout that has happened in the USA in the past 12 months.

Jalolovs footwork is unreal for a guy his size - very coordinated and fast, never crosses his feet and manages range perfectly

Jalo has a lot of skills. For a heavyweight anyway. Bouncy. Rangy. Good feet. Solid pop. Jab a pain in the a$$ to deal with.
