This Thursday Jalolov returns to the pros. Is this in anyway a step up for the Big Uzbek or is he still fighting part time cannon fodder guys?
The French bloke got beat by Babic - that tells you all you need to know. Jalalov is going nowhere in the pro's.
There may not be boxing in the next Olypmics, so I guess he is going to have 2 fights in three years and a couple of IBA fights after that, and call it a day.
Jalolov should never have signed with Top Rank. They have a history of ruining East European and Central Asian boxers with inactivity and meaningless opposition. Mekhontsev, Korobov, and many others.
Not a big surprise he is fighting a part time boxer. I do expect him to step up and fight gatekeepers at the very worst by the end of the year. He's already got enough amateur and pro experience to fight gatekeepers now rather than literal part time boxers.
This guy is like some mysterious legend in the boxing world, does he exist or not? I keep hearing from people how he could be the next big thing even over Itauma, but he's 30 and never fights anyone in the pro game. Has he even made any money at this point? This fight if it happens is ridiculous, I'd close my curtains if they were fighting in my backyard.
