There seem to be a lot of people rating him very highly and expecting him to become a champion at some point. The question is: why? Sure, he's got a decent amateur record - but he's already well into his prime and hasn't fought anyone rated inside the top 200 as a pro. Serious fighters like Parker get crap for fighting anyone outside the top 20 - Jalolov hasn't fought anyone inside the top 200... Let's not forget just how big a gulf in proven-ness there is here. Olympic gold is great... Well done to him... but that's no guarantee of success. For every Wlad there's a Fraudley Harrison; for every Anthony Joshua there's a Yoka; etc - being a great amateur fighter doesn't guarantee you a great pro career. Stepping up late rarely ends well, also, and Jalolov is already 29, he'll be in his thirties by the time the Olympics are done... He's running out of prime to do it.
