Having one belt per division is not going to fix match ups not being made. First, we gotta stop suggesting that boxing should be structure like the UFC.... The UFC is a league and it doesn't generate the same revenue that boxing brings in. Second, there will never be one belt per division due to the $$ that comes through, from each sanctioning body and the belts they have at each of the 17 divisions. Where there's $$, there is politics.... That is always true no matter the situation. Boxing involves A LOT of $$ coming from different areas and going to different people. Bakhram and Janibek are not huge names in this sport, regardless of their talent level and/or being a title holder....Sometimes we will see certain talented fighters not get an opportunity to fight a certain champion because those who are investing in the fights see another name that will generate more revenue. Look at the fact that Ryan Garcia got an opportunity to fight Tank Davis & Devin Haney......yet we didn't get a Loma/Tank, Shakur/Tank, Shakur/Haney, Shakur Loma, Teo/Tank, Teo/Haney, Keyshawn/Tank, Keshawn/Teo, etc...... It's lazy judgement to suggest that these fighters are "ducking" another fighter because no one gets to the world class level of competition by avoiding good to great competition. Most times, the match ups are not by fault of the fighters themselves. Sometimes, it's not the fault of their camp/managers either.
I re watched some of it the other day Tim did hit him in the head pretty good a few times and it didn't stop him... ****ing Rasputin this guy.
Of course he is, while him blasting Tim out of there in 3 was impressive, most of the handlers of the fighters at 154 know that what he did before that fight to the teak tough Jack Culcay was lowkey more badass, and illustrates just how much of a threat he truly is. Culcay has always been a handful, and had given Andrade. Sulecki and Derevyanchenko hell, and arguably did enough to draw against all three of them. No one had never dominated him the way Murtazaliev had, winning 8 out of 10 rounds and KOing him in the 11th, for the first time in his career. So by no means was what he did to Timmy a fluke. They know he's the real deal and the promoters are 100% trying to freeze him out for that very reason.
