Efe Ajagba robbed of a deserved win last night. Bakole just a glorified sparring partner. Clearly fat as **** and just happy to be there.

Gave up on last night's card after the Bakole fight.

I felt that the turnaround after the knockout loss to Parker was a big mistake, but his performance was beyond awful; Nelson must have known how terrible he was going to look against a tricky mover in Ajaba, yet once again he put his fighter's career on the line for another quick payday.

Looks like Bakole has eaten himself out of the title shot and destroyed his career in the process, whereas Billy, despite his own weight loss, his own personal greed, has merely shifted from food to bingeing on a pound note.

I would take the winner of Bosh v Allen to outwork Bakole at this stage.

I don't doubt he has talent, but talent ain't nothing if you don't work hard alongside it. He was 30lbs over weight last night, 50lbs overweight for the Parker fight. If he doesn't sort himself out he will just be another fighter with sparring stories. At this point there's no hype left and sadly he's probably in the wilderness having to rebuild. Shame but only himself and Billy to blame.

Bakole cant cut the ring off. That was what made golovkin so great & the reason he got so many KOs

The Kuzmin fight was a pivotal point in his career, he got off with a very fortunate decision win in that fight. That night he weighed 251lbs and was struggling Kuzmin's movement. Clearly, the decision based on that left off wasnt to eat like a pig and weight in at 25lbs+ more than that for every fight.

25lbs over weight has now become 50lbs over weight. He now will require a 6 month fat camp, before going into an 8 week boxing training camp if he is to be anywhere near as good as he was 5 years ago.

Also WTF is it with his age? He looks like a 40 year old in there. He looked 30 when he was meant to be 20.

Boxrec has him as 33, and Wikipedia has him as 31. If he is really 41, then also its basically time on his career at the highest level based on age alone.

Would be good if Billy would just accept that his fighter is grossly overweight. Billy is on X arguing that Bakole was fit because he won some of the late rounds. Sure, he did but the fight was at a snail’s pace because Bakole barely even attempted to close the ring off and Ajagba was just pot shotting at range.

Would be admirable if he could just concede that Bakole needs to drop weight but he’s probably wary of being dumped for a new trainer if he gets tough on his fighter.

Billy has done an interview with Ring magazine after the fight admitting Bakole is overweight and says they are going to bring in a nutritionist and a strength and conditioning coach

Ok thanks for that I wasn’t aware. Fair enough. A positive step but it’s come too late in his career. Also, unless they can lock Bakole in a cell is he really going to be able to stick to a nutrition plan?

In fairness to Billy he's acknowledged that it's down to Bakole to stick to the plan or he's not going to go very far.

Here's a link to the interview

A dedicated coach to tell him to lay off the crisps?! **** sake! It’s not difficult. Eat less and run more.

I think 275-285 his ideal weight.
