Hunter pretty much schooled him and broke him down. Fun fight tho.
Bakole came out showing no respect and Hunter immediately made him respect him.

But even in an loosing effort, Bakole showed a lot of promise. He actually used head movement and jabbed a lot. His biggest problem was his footwork. Too often he would just cover up and stand in place. Hunter had a field day with that.
But Bakole made a fight out of it.

*Bakole also injured his shoulder that night. It was around halfway through.

Not hard to win a fight like that where both fighters are literally slow-walking around the ring. There’s a reason why he lost to Hunter. Regardless of whether Hughie Fury wins or loses against Povetkin, Fury v Bakole would be a good fight for December time.

But to do so in the first round? Yeah, that was kinda impressive. Just shows how dangerous Bakole is.
Fringe level guys like Spong, old ass Guillermo Jones and Gownacki had their hands full with Perea.
Dude is though, so Bakole deserves credit for getting him out of there so quick.

We already know that Martin hits very hard so no I’m not going to be overly impressed by him destroying someone who is just standing in front of him. Martin put his punches there very well but Perea’s approach was tailor-made for Bakole there.

And don't forget that Bakole is alleged to have made Dubuis quit in sparring and also gives AJ everything he can handle during their 100 + rounds of sparring with each other

    Bazza McGuigan

“He’s (Bakole) been up sparring with Joshua, he’s been the main sparring partner for the Povetkin fight.

“I’ve watched him sparring AJ, he really handles himself very well.

Richie Woodhall also witnessed those sparring sessions confirmed that Bakole did really well

Bakole KO2 Bum Squad and if AJ wants to dance with Bakole sans head gear and pillows he'll be going for a deep snooze on a canvas bed as well. Even old past it Wach's chin>>>everyone else'd in the division combined

And the o.p made the thread to say look how great he is.

And I pointed out when he stepped up he was exposed so I'm not really impressed with this knockout

He does look a decent fighter but I doubt he will be anything special.

Where I said he is great? The thing I was impressed with him is his power. And his power is really impressive. Compare the impact of his and Daniel Dubois' punches on DL Jones. And Dubois is very hard puncher:

Bakole’s mediocre footwork will probably always let him down against the Fury and Hunter type fighters in the division, but there aren’t too many of those. Chisora, Kownacki, or Joyce would be in a world of trouble against him, and I’d love to see any one of those fights.

Bakole vs Makhmudov would be an epic war even if it would last just few rounds.

His two stoppage losses were to Foreman and Fraizer, he was near prime for Frazier
