Upon rewatch of their fight, Anderson was actually landing quite a lot on Bakole, tons of body shots and quite a few head blows too. Bakole was able to tank most of them but can he afford to continue to be so open for shots as he moves up in competition?

His offensive arsenal is certainly much more impressive than his defense, he takes some to give some and has deadly accuracy. Could be detrimental against punchers like Zhang or Dubois.

His hands are also quicker than I remember.

The guy is a tank and hits very hard I think a technical fighter who moves around are the one that can beat I believe he could beat both Dubois and Zhang.

    Of course he did.

He has no real defence and as most HWs he thinks that he don't need it.

People forget his fights with Kuzmin and Hunter.

He has no defense and can only hit what is in front of him. But he's got great size, power, and a good arsenal. Good stamina too.

I think he's a bit overrated, because Anderson has no talent whatsoever. Any mover is going to have a good chance against him. But good luck to him and some of his fights are going to be fun.

Well for what it's worth, nobody ever had a problem with the ultra athletic fast-handed Anderson's offensive arsenal, which is pretty top notch, it's actually why a ton of people on here picked him to win the match and had faith in him being the next big American heavyweight. It's people like myself who questioned his defense, chin and heart, and how if Charles Martin could hurt him pretty badly, then the much better Martin Bakole with this faster hands and far more diverse punch selection would have a field day with him. Which is why we picked Bakole to win. So I wouldn't really read anything into that, because most lumbering heavyweights do not have Anderson's hand speed or volume for Martin to have to deal with. That being said, his defensive prowess isn't necessarily one of his strong suits.

I don’t think he respected Anderson whatsoever and believed Anderson couldn’t hurt him. Anderson was scared shitless of him too.

Bakole looked bad against Hunter though. If that injury was bad luck or because of Hunter’s doing is up for debate.

We will find out what Bakole got when he fights somebody ranked above him.

Anderson had some of the tools to beat him, hand speed and such. What I thought had become evident is his mental stability which started to rear it's head outside the ring with some problems as he seemed to think he was the greatest thing since scotch whiskey. So when he landed some on Bakole and he didn't even flinch Anderson was like,uh what now?

That too, but what was that mental instability rooted in? He hasn't been the same in the ring since he got brutally rocked by Charles Martin not once but twice, and Merhy managed to stun him in the last round of their match. Maybe he didn't want to admit it to himself but subconsciously he knew the writing for the wall, which is probably what started eating away at him and caused him to spiral.

You know how it feels to punch a man with your best and him not respond...

Anderson was outboxed, outgunned, outsexed, outjerked. Nothing for Big Body Bakole.

It's not secret that if you get hit by Zhang's left hand you're probably done for that appleis to every boxer. Bakole doesn't need to fight or beat Zhang though. He needs to somehow get the bodybuilding bum AJ in the ring and slap him around for our entertainment.

Bakole deserves his shot at the top which hasn't happened yet.

The thing with Anderson is that a while back he said he doesn’t like Boxing. That’s not good. You hope he is joking or just being a young guy saying dumb ****, but I think he was talking the truth. It’s one thing when a fighter from the 1930’s claimed he never liked boxing, like it was either working on the docks in the winter, the slaughterhouse, or Boxing. So he did go with boxing, a hard but honest living. There is a romantic notion to that. But in 2024 that does not apply. Anderson can get a 9-5 or a job as a personal trainer or whatever. He doesn’t need to do Boxing. So if he doesn’t like Boxing, he must really hate it to share the ring with a beast like Bakole. Anderson got athleticism but he doesn’t have the mindset.

Zhang is higher ranked than AJ, he's the mandatory for the WBC, and he's next in line after the winner of Dubois/Parker. Beating Zhang is much more impressive right now than beating AJ imo.

Boy I agree with that because boxing is not a game. When you have a bad night in baseball you simply strike out. When you're not mentally and physically all in with boxing you'll take a beating as the cliche' says,"You don't play boxing."
