Bakole's career might just get ruined within a 9 week span. Fighting a big puncher in Ajagba only 9 weeks after getting one punch KO'd.

To add to that, it won't even be a final eliminator anymore because Bakole is coming off a loss.

Horrible decision making considering the great position he was in. Everything gone just like that.

Hopefully he overcomes this, one of the most exciting offensive talents at heavy and he doesn’t deserve to have his career destroyed over saving a co-main he held his own in.

Good for him. He gets his cred back, and extra paycheck, and enjoys Turkyi's favor.

He should’ve just focused on the Ajagba fight. Don’t know what he was thinking fighting a top 5 HW with no training.

He needs to take his fitness seriously. He should know that these short-term offers are going to come up more often now, so he shouldn't let himself get so out of shape between them.

What I don’t understand is…why was everyone so convinced he was gonna beat Ajagba? That is far from certain - he’s got a great, strong and long 1-2 down the pipe has Ajagba, and his dimensions also make him a challenge.

I like Bakole, stylistically and personality wise - but I feel like people got super high on him without having proved much. The way people diss fighters they don’t like who have deep resumes and a couple of losses versus the way they hype guys they like who haven’t proven anything is one of the cognitive dissonances that leave me scratching my head.

fair play to Bakole though if he goes through with the Ajagba match. Good attitude.

It wasn't a brutal beating just a one punch shot that discombobulated his legs.

Two weeks of then 7 weeks of training and he'll be good to go.

Great point in regards to his career.

Bakole V Ajagba is a good match up but it shouldn't be a title eliminator TBH.

If he got the £3 million that was reported for stepping in as a late replacement then it definitely wasn’t a horrible decision.

Going on a lads holiday and eating like a pig as a professional boxer definitely was a horrible decision though.

Bakole never has been a contender has he really? He has always been just below that elite level. He is still a favourite to beat Ajagba.
