:lol: Shut the **** up stupid ass. Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Judah, Hernardez, DLH, and Gatti all weighed more and were bigger then Floyd when he fought him.

He's fought in 5 weight classes how would he be consistently bigger? Start using your brain dude, you sound stupid.

Why do you keep talking about Shane Mosley? You do know that they are fighting on May 1st, right? Did you even read what you quoted? Quartey, Trinidad, Vargas, and Forrest outweighed Floyd by 9-30 pounds! As I said, if you wanna complain about somebody Floyd didn't fight, Acelino Freitas and Joel Casamayor are the names to mention. Again, I ask you, did you even read what you quoted from me?

Let's try this again. The point people are trying to make is that Mayweather doesn't fight bouts that involve a Hell of alot of risk! Monetarily De La Hoya could've continued to bang out the 140lb fighters of the world and never stepped foot in the ring with a Tito Trinidad. (Who happened to be an HBO fighter by the way as well as being promoted by Don King!) He didn't HAVE to fight Mosley, he certainly didn't HAVE to fight a high risk low reward fight with Quartey. Hell, he didn't HAVE to fight Mayweather! Yet he did because there began to be rising opinion that he was AVOIDING the tough fights to fight aging Stars like Chavez or Camacho or no hopers like David Kamau. (Remember that!) He took the same criticism and he was HUGE PPV attraction unlike Floyd. Floyd couldn't fill an arena to save his life back then and realistically didn't until he fought De La Hoya. So if anyone had a reason to pick money fights it was De La Hoya. Yet he still fought tough fights that fans clamored for. And it's very easy to place De La Hoya correctly historically because we've seen him matched up with great fighters in their primes. It's undeniable that you can't do the same for Floyd. And this is coming from a guy who APPRECIATES what he does in the ring!

You haters don't know **** about boxing. Research every opponent that Floyd faced and then come back to me. They said the same thing about Roy Jones When he was p4p king for 12 yrs bc he fought a police officer that was manditory or he would have been stripped of his title. So if you people knew **** about boxing you would know that Floyd has a great resume. If you know **** about boxing tell me what fighter has fought more champions, former champions, and guys who became champions after he fought them. The answer is Roy Jones! Stop hating on Floyd and get yourself together.

DLH outgrew his weight dumbass. He is much bigger then Mayweather always has been. DLH moved up because he had to. Mayweather has always been small he could have fought at the lower weights all his life if he wanted to given how vigioursly he trains.

Now tell me stupid, how is moving up 5 wieght classes not involve risk? How many fighters in the history of the sport have won titles at 5 weight classes? Maybe a handful?

And how isnt Oscar at 154 is 5th weight classes coming off a brutal KO over Mayorga not a risk. :nut
That literally addressed nothing I wrote. :-(

Let's look at things logically. Who was paying to see Mayweather in 2003,04,05? Who? Please tell me. NOBODY!!! Trust me I've been to Mayweather fights and the guy couldn't sell tickets. He was a BORING safety first fighter that HBO was beside themselves that they signed to a multi fight deal! This is FACT! The only thing Mayweather had going for himself was that he was signed to TOP Rank and that Bob Arum brought him to HBO. His style would NEVER have been a box office attraction!

As far as who De La Hoya HAD to fight....... NO ONE! He could've have easily shut out all the fighters listed above and chose to fight stiffs and get HUGE Jack! When it comes to $ De La Hoya was PRINTING it! Just like Leonard before him De La Hoya fought the guys the public started DEMANDING he fight. Who has Floyd fought? WHO? No one denies the dude is gifted but name one dude Floyd has fought in their prime that can be confused with a Hall of Famer? Blood and Guts Gatti? De La Hoya in 2007? Marquez at 147? Ahhh.... Corrales. One fighter out of 40 in their prime who you could point to. And thinking back to the lead up before that fight and the stylistic matchup the outcome was pretty obvious! Now the GREAT fighters of ALL TIME OTOH it's MUCH easier to roll call the Beasts that they've fought.

He was doing 300-400k buys against the likes of Zab Judah, Gatti and Baldomir. Which is more then Pacquiao was doing against Mexican legends like Morales and Barrera.

Mayweather wasnt ever and Oscar level draw, but he was doing better then anyone in boxing at the time not named Oscar or Tito. Mayweather hasnt fought on HBO since his time at 140. All his fights since have been PPV.

Castillo will be a hofer. Hatton is borderline hofer. So is Genaro hernandez. That makes up to almost 7 hofers Floyd has fought. Name a current active fighter that could say the same.

Mayweather's been calling out DLH and Mosley for 10 years. Why do you keep ignoring that. Are you stupid?

In my opinion, Acelino Freitas, Joel Casamayor, and Kostya Tszyu are the only fighters that a legit case can be made for that Floyd could of, should of, would of fought.

It is pointless. Nothing satisfies guys like you. You are the type of guy that if FMJ doesn't fight? You say he is ducking. If he does fight? You come up with an excuse as to why the guy was shot or had no chance.

Cotto - Arum said he wasn't ready.
Margarito - Wasn't the lineal WW champ.

What is the excuse for Pacquiao? Will you blame that on Mayweather too?

Okay I'm gonna break this down again and I'll ask you to refrain from the insults and keep it to boxing.

You can call out a fighter all you want in the press with a Mic. Floyd is good at that but when it comes to signing on the dotted line and fighting there's a difference. Shane has NEVER been one to duck an opponent and has no history of it. In fact, he's the exact opposite and fights some of the DUMBEST stylistic, size match-ups looking for fights.

Floyd OTOH has not fought a fighter like Vernon Forrest or Winky Wright just because the fans wanted it or HBO asked him too. I know first hand that HBO wouldn't make a Gatti/Mosley fight after Mosley fought Oscar. Gatti was a HUGE PPV draw and Mosley wanted the payday. HBO refused to serve up Gatti but they let Hoya fight him afterward. Everybody and their momma was trying to fight Gatti cuz that was EASY money! Gatti was a fan favorite with a fan friendly style.

I can guarantee you Floyd wasn't fighting these cats cuz he didn't want that contract to void out! Let me tell you bro, boxing ain't cut and dry like you see on TV. These HBO fighters have multi fight contracts that void out upon a loss. HBO tried to get RJJ beat for Years!!! They couldn't but they had a Love/Hate relationship with him because he WAS the BEST in the GAME!!!

Floyd talent for talent is not a RJJ. He's just as disciplined in the ring and technically alot sounder but he's no RJJ. HBO looked at Floyd as a RJJ but less appealing. They'd been down that road with Roy and he never turned into a box office attraction and they feared neither would Floyd. HBO liked Floyd's talent as did Arum but the guy couldn't sell tickets. Because of this Floyd wasn't willing to take on a more challenging fight because he knew a loss would leave him without a contract and having to renegotiate each fight for less $. These are facts and they aren't up for debate. The De La Hoya fight represented the ONLY fight he was willing to lose his 0 for. Not Mosley, or anybody else he may have called out. He simply wasn't gonna fight guys that could realistically beat him without getting that payday.

And I will ask you a pointed question and I want you to give me an honest answer. Looking at Floyd's record, what would Oscars record be up to this point had he faced the same comp as Floyd at age 33? And I'll ask you the same question about Shane. What would his record be after 40 fights at the age of 33 with the names on Floyd's resume? And if you can find a legit loss on their explain to me who they lose to and why. Real Talk.

I would have loved a Casamayor fight, used to love watching that man in his prime.
