Baldo is a solid fighter. His speed was pretty good tonight, his chin was solid, he simply wasn't as good. No shame in any of this. Great effort by a solid guy with a lot of heart.

Just a question...Did you have any doubt about the outcome of this fight? I ask you this question because I didn't. The only question/concern I had was about Forrest being able to KO Baldomir.

    Not really.
It wasnt impossible for Baldo though, Forrest has been pretty quiet lately and he isnt young.

But I wasnt suprised how easy Forrest done that, the gap in skill and class was always apparent to me. Just wasnt sure if Forrest was physically and mentally all there anymore.

i have never seen boldamire fight but from what i have heard,

    this guys shoulders is wide!!!

i have a feeling that bodoamire is big man in a smaller class, im thinking he could fill out 200lbs and not look fat.

I knew forrest could not KO baldomir. As I knew floyd couldnt either. I didnt think Forrest was going to own him like he did. I thought forrest was going to play it safe as his corner was telling him to do all fight. But he was healthy, I didnt know that either b/c he looked like pure crap in the quartay fight. But, yes. In no way shape or form I thought baldomir could pull a mayorga. Big power difference.:good

Many people were not surprised, ....trust me.... some posters said before the fight actually happend (Lance and Zakman I think ) that the only way Baldomir could win was by a lucky shot or something gone wrong with Forrest.

In other words, he could have a chance only if something could have happened to Forrest.....something like a physical problem....other than that he was a seating duck.:yep

Baldomir is a fighter who comes to fight, and as you pointed out he doesn't have power and besides that he's not skillful.

To be honest with you...I think that the Mayorga who defeated Forrest the first time would have defeated Baldomir as well.

Baldomir won the 147 belt because **** happens, probably the same way that Mayorga won the belt, however, I give Mayorga more chances to defeat other boxers than the chances that I could give to Baldomir.

Baldomir was perhaps the weakest or one of the weakest linear champions at 147 ever.
