Pavlik vs. Miranda comes to mind. That was vicious and set the stage for the Taylor fight of the year.

    Good thread.

good thread, fighting in adversity is a huge part of boxing and really seperates the great from the good. leonard coming through his test against benitez proved beyond all doubt that leonard was something special. leonard was brilliant at fighting in adversity, even in duran 1 trying to win with a toe to toe style against one of the greatest toe to toe fighters of all time.

leonard v hearns 1, came from behind to beat an atg, leonard v hagler, even leonard v lalonde when he got knocked down in the 4th.

calzaghe although hated is another great example of a fighter that fought his best in adveristy. he was knocked down 4 times and every time he got back up and took it to the opposition toe to toe in the same round.

i know i've gone a bit off topic here so i'll leave with cleverly in his recent fight with murat. think he answered a few questions and came through a few tricky moments to prove hes got balls and is made of the right stuff.

Morales-Zaragoza. although i guess Morales wasnt in serious trouble.
However they say you have to beat a legend to become a legend. This was that fight for Morales

I sort of missed the point of it being a 'balls to wall' sort of fight, which Calzaghe v Lacy definitely wasn't.
