He looked bad at his last weigh in. Not just weak, but like he was doing something to his body that was causing legitimate harm.

That said, I don't know if his power holds up at 140 the way it does at 135. Rios is so fun to watch I hope he gets in the ring soon, but he could end up like a little Kelly Pavlik: too big to get to his original fighting weight, no advantages up a division.

Rios vs Prescott would be a good one

Rios somehow came in a pound over what he was at the previous weigh in.

saying and doing two different things. If he comes less than 100 percent, he will be beaten by Gamboa.

I'm pretty sure Kevin Mirchell can't leave the UK because he's under indictment for drug distribution charges.

Rios is finding it hard to get opponents because pretty much all of the guys who would make for good fights with him are with Golden Boy. It has nothing to do with a belt and nothing to do with people being scared of him.

Also, I'm a little sick of him being matched up with people over whom he clearly has significant size and power advantages. He hasn't been matched tough since Acosta, and I'm not going to be inclined to give him a great deal credit if he beats a much smaller Gamboa. It's no coincidence that if he does move up, the guy he wants is an already way-above-his-best weight Marquez.

Prescott gets destroyed. Rios is great at making his opponents fade. Prescott does that naturally. Bad, bad combination for Prescott and Rios stops him in about 5.

How about Guerrero vs Rios at 140lbs since Guerrero doesn't have a fight either? Or Guerrero too good for Rios since Guerrero thinks he is a "superstar" now?
