they have both been criticized for being too big, fighting smaller guys, and getting gift decisions. but look at them now, theyre each moving up and fighting som tough opposition with no tune ups. Rios is fighting one of the baddest, biggest mofos in the 140 division, Alvarado. Broner is fighting a tall lanky south paw with power thats at the top of the division of 135.
props to both if theyre victorious

agreed. they both have always been confident and willing to take on anyone. it's the promoters ****ing them over.

Rios busts up Alvarado and knocks him out in 5-6 rounds. Its gonna be the Antillion fight all over again. Just Mike's a bigger guy so he'll last a couple rounds more.

i think so too. people are overrating Alvarado. Rios is a pro in these type of fights and will come out on top. Mikes lack of experience will show up in the later rounds and he'll be stopped. bet on it.

Lets see if Broner could stop De Marco... If he doesn't stop him it's a FAIL! Valero stopped De Marco... Could Broner do it as well?

I give Rios props for fighting the big and dangerous Alvarado but it was never a matter of Rios avoiding dudes that can punch, it's good boxers he's avoiding. Alvarado is tailor made for him. B level technician Abril made him look silly, he can't hang with a slick boxer that has a decent chin and Arum knows this which is why it'll be the Alvarado's of the world from now on. Still a very credible opponent for a 1st fight at 140 and one he deserves props for winning if he does.

Demarco's arguably the #1 fighter at 135 so thats a great first step up for Broner too. There's only one other fighter you can argue better than Demarco at 135 and that's Vazquez who gets criminally underrated.

Listen it will be good fight Rios vs Alvarado and i will be watching but its the perfect fighter for him, not saying he wlll win but the thing is its the only type of fighter he can beat, any b level boxer with good footwork will give him a boxing lesson like Abril did.
I agree about Broner good step up, he is a total moron but this should be good fight and we will all see how good he is.

Broner talks alot of trash but he doesn't follow through... Broner said fat boy Rios would be easy work! Well then go up to 140 and beat his fat ass... Fight Lucas, Garcia etc...

to be fair, there arent many fighters with Abrils style. don't forget he beat a very good mobile version of Acosta.

talks trash but doesn't follow thru? did he not call Demarco out and now fighting him? sounds like a man of his word.
