Now that Bam and Martinez have dethroned the old warriors Gallo and Ioka I think it only makes sense for this fight to happen. It’ll be a great fight for sure but who ends up being on top?

Pumita will be too much for Bam and will crack that chin of his.

A bloodied Rodriguez gets off the canvas to stop Martinez late in the fight.

This is the next big fight to make at the lower weights. Bam against Martinez would be absolute fireworks and I think this could very well be the toughest fight for both of them.

Martinez is very impressive but he has a real lack of power

Bam vs Martinez is the fight to make for 2025, assuming Martinez beats Ioka again before the end of the year.

    Bump.
Martinez showed more vulnerability and even got dropped by Ioka this time. Bam might win this for sure but it’ll still be a good match up. They need to make it happen this year.

I’m not betting against Bam. I can’t recall him ever being hurt? He got dropped by Gallo, but he got up laughing because he was just knocked of his feet but not hurt. And one round later he scored one of the nastiest body shot KOs in recent years.

if I do have a concern about him, it’s that he gets hit a bit too much. He shouldn’t be getting hit as often with his speed and reflexes, but he’s overly aggressive and it leads to him getting caught here and there. I have a feeling he frustrates his trainer by not being disciplined enough in the ring, you can see how hot blooded he is in there. it may bite him in the ass someday. You look at guys like Floyd, they don’t do that, they’re calculating iron disciplined calm in there; Bam is like blood on fire when he steps foot in a ring. Look at how he reacts to wins even.

Then again, that aggression is why he’s fun to watch. The way he’ll change angle 3x in a row in an attempt to hit a guy in the liver because he hates livers. That kind of thing. He should be a bigger draw than he is — an aggressive showboatey Mexican-American in one of the leprechaun weights? Should be a promoter’s dream.

Anyway, great fight to make. I expect Bam to run over Cafu. This should be the next fight.

bam makes it look easy. stops him around 9th rd. picks him off from the outside, denying him the range he needs for those tight hooks and uppers he makes his money off of.

Bam beats him convincingly without getting out of 2nd gear.
