Watson destroyed Ninja Rua last night and by the end of the fight Rua needed oxygen and had to be carried out of the ring as Watson kicked his legs so much.

After watching that fight I think Watson stands a very good punchers chance in the UFC.

At his weight he certainly wont KO Anderson Silva or another top dog in hat division though certainly could rank up a few victory's over lower ranked people.

    Thoughts please people?

Damn.... I was actually watching Pride 20 yesterday with Ninja's fight against Mario Sperry (one of the best fights evah) and it reminded me how much of a badass he was back in those days.

It's a shame to see how his career ended up but it's a good idea to retire now.

What is wrong with our refs. I think they are leaving fights to go a touch too long because BAMMA is growing. Che Mills and Watson had finished their opponents and the ref let them get a couple more shots in. I think I counted 16 or 17 shots from Che Mills. Unacceptable.

MMA will struggle in the UK if refs allow fights to like pub brawls. We've already got morons here calling it cage fighting and not mixed martial arts.

Ninja should be at 170. He was a small and soft 185. He is a tough SOB but he shouldn't be fighting at 185 or 205.

Sergei Kharitonov almost killed Ninja when they fought in Pride. Murilo had to get brain surgery and after that he was never the same.:-(

I thought so too during the prelims, but when the televised card came on, the arena looked to really fill up and the atmosphere was really good.

depending where you were sat, you probably had a better view than me as I was cageside, but it looked pretty full when Watson was on!
